They’re moving. Only slightly, but enough for her to see the small continuous shift. Whether it be from the vibrations of the music playing out in the audience or the swift movements taking place backstage, she doesn’t know. She watches the thick red velvet curtains sway ever so slightly. It comforts her for some reason. She might be the only person in the whole auditorium that notices them. They calm her as chaos takes place around her. She notices her thudding heart start to slow as she focuses on the subtle side-to-side motion of the curtains. She wonders what is exactly behind them.
